Entrepreneurs more likely to find success in certain industries

Although many industries have been hit hard by the recession, some sectors are currently favorable for entrepreneurs looking to start their own businesses, according to the Washington Post.

These include some surprising services, such as automotive parts stores.

"People are being more frugal and are choosing to extend the life of their current cars as opposed to buying new ones," SageWorks economist Nicole Wolfgang told the news source.

Those who own their own day-cares should also expect an upswing as more people return to work, and as the population ages, home healthcare services and outpatient care centers are predicted to become more in demand as well.

While some industries are bouncing back, others were never affected. For example, those in legal profession offer what Wolfgang describes as "one of those services that is hard to live without."

"Everybody needs to pay their taxes every year, and businesses still need accountants," Wolfgang pointed out, as quoted by the news source.

Entrepreneur Magazine advises small business owners looking to "stage a comeback" after the economic turmoil of the past few years to identify areas of weakness within their companies and determine how their offerings stack up against the competition.
