Google marketing taught to business owners

Posted: 9/24/2012
By: Lindsey Graham
Internet marketing campaigns are dominated by Google, which has emerged as the premier web search engine. With Google being an important aspect of any business increasing its marketing efforts, the Marketer's Black Book team put together a seminar that was aimed toward local advertising for business owners.

Small business owners are usually always looking for ways they can expand their company and become more visible in its community where it started and on a national platform. Considering many companies aren't run by entrepreneurs who are proficient in all aspects of making sure a business is successful, the seminar will give local businesses a blueprint on how they can dominate Google search results by using formulas that have been proven to be helpful for other small businesses in the past.

The seminar will be held from November 9 to 11. Attendees will be given a discounted price if they register by October 1.

According to a recent marketing poll online, only 33 percent of business owners were content with their current placement they have received on search engines, including Yahoo, Google and Bing. Some business owners reported that they had success with search engines, but other stated they disliked the returns that were reported.

The poll also suggested that results are not guaranteed when companies switch to search engine optimization techniques. Results are also not instant, which can make some entrepreneurs antsy about their small business marketing efforts.

According to InformationWeek, small businesses can capitalize on Google's dominance by getting a Google+ business page, adding remarketing to their rotation, and running a small and strategic search campaign.
