Small business expo announced for Los Angeles

Posted: 9/28/2012
By: Lindsey Graham
The Small Business Expo was recently extended to Los Angeles. A new trade show is scheduled for November 8.

The expo gives attendees the ability to go on its website and view its unique brand of networking to the West Coast.

"Our goal at Small Business Expo is to create a fun environment in which to network, something vastly different from the typical boring trade show," said Zachary Lezberg, producer of Small Business Expo's upcoming Los Angeles trade show. "At our NYC events, we put dancing businesspeople in the windows overlooking the street entrance to ensure that all our participants enter the expo in a great mood. In LA, the dancers will be stationed right in the lobby to greet people as they arrive. We're hoping that a sense of camaraderie and fun will permeate our Los Angeles show as it does at all our business networking events."

The trade show is sponsored by Powerteam International, Emerge212, Go Daddy, Yelp and many other companies.

The expo will feature workshops and a VIP keynote address, in addition to a business networking event that will give attendees a plethora of ways to connect with other professionals in similar industries. Professionals will be matched with other attendees by the use of Presdo Match, which was created by the co-founder of LinkedIn. Similar to speed dating, attendees will be matched, given three minutes to introduce themselves and exchange business cards before they move on to the next person when the buzzer sounds.

This method could help improve small business marketing, giving the company owner a chance to promote their business.

FedEx recently launched a small business competition that will give six businesses in the country $50,000 for their marketing campaign. Registration is now open until November 24.
