Tools for small businesses looking to measure ROI

Posted: 7/10/2012
All small businesses are looking see a return of the investment they've used to expand their business' reach to consumers. With the demand for ROI being high for all small businesses, Fox Business recently released a list of tools for entrepreneurs who are looking to measure their small business marketing ROI.

The source reported that there are many avenues companies can take to measure its marketing ROI that can be accomplished right away.

The first suggestion is to ask all customers how they found out about the business. Even though this may sound basic, many small businesses neglect to use this measurement tool that allows the company to interact with its customers and gain information at a low cost, the source reported.

Also, call tracking can be an invaluable tool to an entrepreneur who recently started a company. Most businesses have multiple marketing channels, which can give an owner the chance to ask prospective customers to call the company. The measurement tool is a great way to find out which channels are the most effective, Fox stated.

Using unique URLs can also be helpful in measuring marketing effectiveness, requiring owners to purchase a domain to make it easier for people to find a business online. Pointing unique URLs at different landing pages also allows business owners to more easily track their marketing channels by tracking the visitors and activity on different pages.

Using promotional codes and Google Analytics can also have a beneficial effect on a business. Google Analytics is free and allows traffic to be monitored on specific pages while promotional codes will increase a business' reach by offering deals to customers who otherwise might have bypassed the site.

Business 2 Community recently suggested making technology second nature in order to increase a business' reach. New social media platforms that are used by billions across the world have been proven to provide better advertisements for small companies.
