Toshiba is doing its best to help small businesses marketing by providing technology makeovers to companies with their recently introduced Big Reboot campaign.

Toshiba's Digital Products Division, which is a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, announced the initiative, which aims to give small businesses a necessary technology to increase their appeal to consumers around the country. The technology company worked with Intel to create the program to stimulate small businesses in the nation while providing six companies that deserve better technology $10,000 worth of products.

The winners of the small business makeover will also receive Staples EasyTech services, which will provide an opportunity to fully learn about the products they are provided as a result of the program.

"Small businesses often have to make trade-offs when deciding where to invest to stay competitive, especially upgrading their technology," said Mona Pal, director of channel marketing at Toshiba America Information Systems, Digital Products Division. "Toshiba is committed to the success of small businesses and we are excited to work with Intel and Staples to support them with the latest high-performance technologies and services that can help them work more productively at the office or on the road."

Small businesses can enter the competition by submitting their story at TheBigReboot.biz, detailing how they feel their company would benefit from a makeover. Consumers will be able to also nominate their favorite local business. The program will consist of six phases, including power growth, knowledge, innovation, service, products and goods.

American Express also recently announced that the company is conducting its second annual "Big Break for Small Business" contest, which will give five small businesses $25,000 to implement marketing makeovers for their brand.
